Our store name "IT'S OKASHI S" comes from the same pronunciation, an old Japanese word and the modern Japanese word "OKASHI".
The word "いとをかし(ito-okashi)" is an old Japanese word that was used about 1,000 years ago and is no longer in use now. It means "very beautiful," "very interesting," "tasteful," or "splendid".
